I’ve been eating Goji Berries for years. I can by them in bulk at the Chinese grocery stores in San Francisco’s Chinatown for $3 a pound (or pay $20 per pound at Rainbow Grocery with a fancy mark and a bunch of BS about ‘ancient’, ’sacred’ secret of the Monks). They have a nice coral color and are mildly sweet, bland and pretty dull, really. But this juice is far from dull – it’s disgusting. Bordering on wretched, it tastes like overripe, canned tomatoes on the verge of spoiling. No matter what I mixed it with, the rotten flavor dominated to the point of being nauseating. I’ve managed to end half of one bottle and the rest is going down the drain. I won’t even pour it over the compost heap for dread of contamination. I thought about sending the two remaining bottles back but I’m just going to dump them and try to forget the whole experience. PBTTTTT! YUK!

Goji juice is not the most appealing color, but not terrible really – kind of like carrot juice. Gojilani has produced a drinkable juice product I really delight in anytime of day. It gives me a lift – energy! You could easily mix it with other juices or in smoothies. I just have a glass on its own,and make sure I empty the bottle the next day or two. It is fresh, so it needs to be used very soon after opening. I reckon it’s a fantastic alternative to eating berries. Watch for the sale price, as Amazon offers unique different items every month – it can be expensive, but it delivers – convenience, taste and energy!
